Beyond What Was Tested
The compounds identified by HPLC represent a small fraction of the total extract by weight. The remainder is consistent with what is typically found in Hericium erinaceus fruiting bodies, including structural polysaccharides such as beta-glucans, free amino acids, sterols such as ergosterol, fatty acids, and minerals.
Beta-glucan testing is planned for a future panel, and results will be published here when available.

What Is AuriCium™?
The name AuriCium™ is a deliberate fusion: Auri, evoking gold, sunlight, and premium quality — and Cium, drawn from Hericium, the genus name for Lion’s Mane.
Together, they name something rare: a golden, freeze-dried fruiting body extract that honors both the science and the spirit of this remarkable culinary-medicinal mushroom.
AuriCium™ is made from freeze-dried Hericium erinaceus Lion’s Mane fruiting bodies or Hericium coralloides Coral Tooth fruiting bodies — never mycelium, never grain substrate.
The Lion’s Mane is grown by Inoculated Farms, a MycoSymbiotics Cooperative member based in Plainfield, New Jersey. The Coral Tooth is foraged by Thomas Patterson in Pennsylvania.
Freeze drying helps preserve the sensory and biochemical character of the fresh fruiting body, resulting in a golden resin with a fresh Hericium aroma and warm, shortbread-like notes unlike anything in the conventional extract market.
What’s Inside
Adenosine is a naturally occurring nucleoside found across the kingdom Fungi and is present here as the dominant compound measured in this extract.
L-(+)-Ergothioneine is a sulfur-containing amino acid produced by fungi and certain bacteria. Humans cannot synthesize it and must obtain it through diet. Mushrooms are among the richest known dietary sources.
Tryptophan is an essential amino acid and dietary precursor to serotonin and melatonin.
Hericerin is a secondary metabolite characteristic of Hericium erinaceus fruiting bodies and belongs to the same broader compound family as hericenones.
